Reasonable Balanced Leadership

  • Important Solutions for Hoosiers

Hoosiers are tired of the extreme voices that distract us from finding solutions to the problems that matter most to our families and communities. We are tired of seeing our government waste time pursuing extremist plans instead of looking for common ground. Instead, we should be seeking better ways to promote education, provide access to affordable housing and health care, support sensible economic growth, and advance public health and safety. I want to represent the citzens of Noblesville and Fishers who live in District 29 and seek cooperative ways of pursuing these goals. I want to avoid getting lost in the type of national talking point agendas that waste our time and energy

  • Education Starts with a Conversation

Most of us have seen images of anger and frustration surrounding public education spill over into public meetings, the press and on-line news sites. This erodes respect and support for institutions that are the bedrock of success in Noblesville and Fishers. Hoosier values teach us to listen to these diverse voices and then have honest and respectful conversations to resolve differences and find common ground. Any workable solution has to be based on mutual trust. Noblesville and Fishers can set an example in searching for solutions that re-build trust among educators, parents, and the community. If those solutions involve work within the state legislature, I feel confident that my experience as an educator and change leader can be helpful to the process.

Core Values and Moral Compass

I was raised by a bad ass Noblesville Vietnam Vet Marine resident, who taught me that to get the results you must put in the work. My mother guided my moral compass to do the right thing, especially when it seems difficult. I am ready to always fight for Noblesville and our values.

My Why

It is concerning to Hoosiers that an unchecked majority in any legislature, such as in Indiana, can lead to some extreme and unreasonable laws, placing harsh restrictions on personal freedoms instead of focusing on solutions for issues that matter. My heart was led to run for office after the loss of my daughter Cam (Callie) to suicide on April 12, 2022. Our Indiana schools are well above the average in the country at 694-1 in students to school counselor ratio. Our schools and public health organizations must be better prepared to help individuals and Hoosier families struggling with similar issues. A respectful inclusive and safe learning environment for all children in our schools is part of my platform.
